Terms
Clarity keeps us both happy.
Every project is different. But helps to have some framework for discussion. Here are mine:
Unless otherwise discussed, I work Monday – Friday 8AM – 5PM EST
The project timeline will be detailed in our agreement. Changes by either of us need to be in writing.
Jobs will generally be billed as stated in our agreement: either monthly for packages or as we hit milestones for project work.
- Agreement will specify milestones for payment
- Invoices will be sent digitally
- Payment is due upon receiving invoice
- Late payments will incur 10% fee per month
The document that will keep us both happy. Before any work starts we will both sign a work agreement. It will spell out the terms of our project including:
- Work description
- Deliverables
- Timeline & deadlines
- Rates/payment schedule
- Ownership
- Confidentiality
- Liability
- Termination
We’ll both sleep better.
All work I provide is my own. Client owns the rights to use. I retain the right to display work for portfolio purposes. (If you aren’t comfortable with me bragging about your company, we’ll note that in our written agreement.)
If something goes awry – we should both have a polite way out.
- Written notice of agreement termination must be provided at least 15 days in advance
- Payment for work to date and remittal of any work in progress will become immediately due
