Meet Me
A Little About Me
Hi – I’m Jennifer. I am a lifelong (mostly) organic gardener. I own and operate an 86 acre farm outside historic Pittsboro, North Carolina in USDA zone 7b.
My gardens are designed for both people and pollinators. I have experience with both conventional and organic gardening in containers, backyard plots, and small-scale market gardens. My favorite garden plants are ‘Tifblue’ blueberries, buckwheat en masse, and open-pollinated sunflowers.
Elsewhere on the farm, I wrangle a flock of cheeky chickens, entertaining ducks, and a sassy herd of heritage Dexter cattle. Our land is managed for wildlife conservation including wildflower meadows, food plots, and hedgerows. Visit Buck Naked Farm to learn more about what we do.
I carry my gardening experience through to all parts of regenerative and sustainable agriculture through soil building, cover cropping, composting, IPM, and attracting (mostly) beneficial wildlife. The garden is my happy place.
